How to import the Display options from the previous version

The Display options settings are saved separately for each FEM-Design version.

But there is a solution there you can import the saved Display options settings for example from FEM-Design version 22 into version 23, according to the following steps below.

N.B.  A condition for this solution to be able to perform so must the imported Display options settings belongs to the exactly the same corresponding result type in the both versions.

1. The Display options settings you saved in FEM-Design v.22 as the image below:

2. Go to this folder in templates for FEM-Design v.22 and copy the Display options settings files as below and paste them in the templates for FEM-Design v.23.

You find this path in Documents folder (C:\Users\Documents\StruSoft\FEM-Design 22\templates)

3. But they seems to have also been renamed. In FEM-Design v.22 is the result's Display options settings file's extension saved with *.rscolor and a similar result's Display options settings is saved in FEM-Design v.23 which was called *.rsurfcolor.

So rename the file extension *.rscolor to *.rsurfcolor and it will work.

N.B. The extension of the Display options settings can be named different for different results types.

After renaming the extension:

4. Of course you must display the exactly same result type and you will be able to load the Display options settings from FEM-Design version 22 into version 23.
